SO now we know...?
Seems a CRS GM who is an infamous axis player was spotted posibily spying for the axis on an attack down south.

Dunno who it was, but it dosn't suprise me. Explains a lot dosn't it.

The axis it seems, have been cought red-handed. I hope the squad(?) he was allegly spying for (or perhaps, en entire axis brigade?) gets removed too. Takes two to tango.

Yes I'm bitter. CRS fuxzored again. Sigh.

Allied Headquarters :: View topic - Axis,Crs and Allied Attack

SO it seems a axis GM was cought in the act. Rather stupid of him to be visable when hes doing it, though one wounders how often this happens when they are invisable.

I happen to belive this conspircay theory, pity they wont name names. I wounder who it was, and what squad he was working for...

Axis ask the question. The obvious answer is: well, the'rve never noticed it because it always fails!

Sporin has the same idea I do.
Also, the triangle has the two-AB town of Hasselt on its north flank and to take Hasselt you have to take Diest-Paal-Geel to get a reasonable route to the towns north of Hasselt. Without Hasselt, you have no chance of holding the triangle.

That triangle area is probably the easiest area for the Axis to control and defend on the entire map -- and it borders the Aarschot/Tienen corridor, which is the easiest sector of the map for the Allies to control, hence neither route is often figured as a primary jump-off point for either army.
Excactly.

Note to AHC: Forget getting past Hannut without Bertix FIRST.

I added in the adsense report mostly to see if anyone IS looking at this. And it seems 5 people a day are. Who ARE you people? Perhaps I'll write more, as out of potential audience of 5,000,000,00 I have 0.0000000001 percent.

Note to CRS: The SAS do not belong in the BEF Orbat
WWII Online :: View topic - Note to CRS: The SAS do not belong in the BEF Orbat

And apologies to the SQUAD already know as the SAS who ARE in the BEF Orbat. That's fine, though I guess the'll need to change thier name too.

However, CRS has enforced on the AHC the decican to delete the 1st Guards Brigade from the AHC Orbat, and replace it with...the SAS Brigade.

1: The SAS did not exist until North Africa, and played little part in the ETO until AFTER North Africa was over. Playing it in the ETO as a major combat unit in a game set 1940-43 is unhistorical.

2: The SAS are, as thier name suggestes, a special forces unit. In no way shape or form do they count as a brigade sized unit.

3: The actual british paratroop units DID exist in the ETO, and are actually more reconiazable as a paratroop unit from thier names, than the SAS is, Yes the SAS did paradroops. But they also did long range scouting in vechiles, and have a naval compoent (The SBS). The SAS does other things apart from paradroops, while the 1st Parachute regiment did that, and is obivous they mostly do that, just from the name. Perhaps if CRS plans on getting some couterstrike players in by offering hostage rescue as a 1.19 misson type?

4: It makes the unit look ovely different from all the other ground units, which are clearly normal. Yes the paratroop unit is a higher class of infantry unit than a boring land infantry unit, but it's not the l337 of the l337 a special forces unit typically is assumed to be.

5: Compare the size of the 101st Airborne to the SAS. Or the 1st Parachute regiment for that matter. Or the german parachute units.

6: If the BEF must be givin a unit like the SAS, please make the german unit called "Skorzkys Raiders" or some such. It makes just as much sense. And when we get the US in, they won't get the 101st or 82nd Airborne either, as there clearly not in the same leage as the SAS.

There does seem to be a need to remove one of the BEF briagdes (and I suspect one of the german ones too, wonder who gets the chop?) and make it a paracute unit. But it makes much more sense to have in the orbat: "1st Paracute Regiment" than it does "Special Air Service".

WWII Online :: View topic - NEW MOVIE
The Rescue, part III, bu Niedorf.

WWII Online :: View topic - NEW MOVIE

It starts off quite slow. Unfortunaly the fiurst 5 minutes are spent in the Castle, whgich is now starting to show its age, its looks ugly compared to the newest Granik buildings.

Note to CRS: Get Granik to redo the castle.

Then we get some footage of Stuka Air rape, and I must admit, it looks very good.

Note to CRS: Fix the stuka sirin noise so people use it in movis.

The "axis" attack on a British Airfield using the sound soundtrack from Pearl Habour is one of the best parts of a WW2OL movie I have ever seen. It reallly shows off well the VDM of the aircarft. Very well editied and I think the highlight of the movie. Very good acting and direction too.

Note to CRS: We need some new hangers that can blow up too.

Followed up by a street battle using the sounds of Saving Private Ryan, Well done again. At least the allies fiannly win a battle!

Note to CRS: Give the BEF some HE.

I give it 8/10. It losses 1 point for the slow start, but otherwise an exxelent movie, and well worth the download.
